Selectmen’s Meeting Minutes

February 19, 2008

In Attendance:  David Leone (Chair), Michael Brogna, Richard O’Connor, Pamela Hamel (Administrative Assistant)

Audience Members Present

Dave called the meeting to order at 6:00pm.

Dave read a list of upcoming appointments.

Dave said it was candidate’s night which is an opportunity for those running for office to introduce themselves.

Chuck Stata is running for the zoning board, one year term.

Kyle Andrews is running for the planning board, 3 year term.

Glen Hansen is running for road agent, 2 year term.

Miles Sinclair is running for moderator, 2 year term.

David Leone is running for selectman, 3 year term.

Michelle Clark is running for selectman, 3 year term.

Louis Albert is running for road agent as a write in.

Louis Lieto is running for the Newfound Area School District budget committee.

Each candidate fielded questions from the audience.  Dave mentioned there where a number of positions open that no one is running for: cemetary trustee; 3 openings, trustee of the trust funds: 3 openings, zoning board; 1 opening, zoning board alternate; 3 openings.

Dave read the selectmen’s meeting minutes of 02-12-08 to the audience.

Dave made a motion to accept the minutes as written, Rich 2^nd, all in favor, so voted.

Dave made a motion to sign the Rego Junkyard License and renewal letter, Mike 2^nd, all in favor, so voted.

Mike made a motion to sign the Holmes rebate letter, Rich 2^nd, all in favor, so voted.

Mike made a motion to sign the Police Chief Applicants Response Letters, Rich 2^nd, all in favor, so voted.

Rich made a motion to sign the report of cut for Gonnerman, Mike 2^nd, all in favor, so voted.

Meeting adjourned at 8:08pm.
